Harper Lake Dry Lake Area (Lockhart) consists of 115,000 acres of mixed public and private lands. Own your own 180ACs of this unique area. Harper Lake abounds with recreational opportunities, such as camping, hunting, fossil hunting, bird watching (part of the Pacific Migratory Flyway), fishing (seasonal) and OHV use. The wide variety views/scenery include large mountains, wet lands, desert marsh, and rock hounding on the shoreline of this ancient Pleistocene Era lake where fragments of primitive stone tools were embedded in the sediments. Harper (Dry) Lake is part of the US BLM oversight area in NW San Bernardino County.
